The ‘Collection Privée Cartier Paris’ (CPCP) was a special line produced from 1998 to 2008, dedicated to creating high-horology pieces that showcased Cartier’s watchmaking prowess. These watches often featured complex movements, elegant traditional finishing, and were produced in limited numbers.
The movement in the 2396 Monopusher is the Calibre 045MC, which was notably developed by the collaborative manufacture THA Èbauche—founded in 1996 by the renowned independent watchmakers Vianney Halter, Denis Flageollet, and François-Paul Journe. In short, developed by three legendary names in the industry, Vianney Halter is a renowned independent watchmaker, Denis Flageollet, watchmaker and co-founder of De bethune and François-Paul Journe, who needs no introduction.
Hands down to me one of my all-time favourite CPCP releases, and to date, in my opinion, is the best variant of the monopusher, the Cartier CPCP Monopusher Chronograph. This manual wind watch is in excellent condition and is offered as a complete full set, which includes two additional spare straps and the original Collection Prive Inner and Outer box, with guarantees and booklets. The watch was checked and is running well with all functions of the monopusher in working order.
