The Rolex GMT-Master reference 1675, produced from 1959 to 1980, is one of the longest-running and most significant references in Rolex history. Developed in collaboration with Pan American Airways for their pilots, it allowed simultaneous tracking of two time zones. The Mark 4 dial is a distinct variation from the early 1970s, and when the original tritium luminous material ages to a rich orange-brown hue, collectors affectionately call it a ‘Pumpkin’ dial—a highly sought-after characteristic that adds significant character and desirability.
A Rolex GMT-Master 1675 featuring a Mark 4 matte black dial with original tritium lume plots that have aged to a vibrant ‘pumpkin’ patina. The matching handset with dial creates a well-balanced and sought-after combination, especially with a lovely, fat font faded bezel. The Dial is in excellent condition, the case is in honest vintage condition & bracelet has been replaced with a newer 78360 oyster & 580 end links.
