Rolex Day-Date 18238 Stick Dial

The 18238 came out in 1988 and brought a major upgrade to the Day‑Date line: the double quickset. For the first time, you could set both the day and date independently, a huge convenience over older models. The case stayed at 36mm but was a touch slimmer than the 18038, and the movement was the new Calibre 3155. This L‑serial example dates right to the first few years of production, making it an early specimen of a much‑loved reference.
