Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo 6005ST

Presenting the Audemars Piguet 6005ST Jumbo, this example is in exceptional condition for its age with a black tapisserie dial, and features AP’s Caliber 2511; a high-energy quartz movement and a unique movement from the late 1970s. The crown adjusts the hours only when pulled; the minutes are adjusted by an insert pusher within the crown, a unique and interesting movement from an experimental Quartz Era from AP, which was ahead of its time; essentially a quick time change with hours only when travelling.

Despite featuring a large, brutalist case and an integrated bracelet in the same design language as the octagonal Royal Oak, the Ref. 6005 was never officially named as such; instead, it bore the simple ‘Quartz’ designation. It was part of the brand’s ‘Quartz Line,’ which continued until at least 1985.

The bracelet length is enough to fit up to an 18.5cm wrist and includes 8 removable links.
