The L.U.C 1860 takes its name from Louis-Ulysse Chopard, who founded the company in 1860. The first L.U.C 1860 of 1997 introduced Chopard's own micro-rotor calibre, the L.U.C 1.96, and set the direction for the brand's fine watchmaking. This reference 168860-3003 brings the design back in a 36.5mm steel case with a salmon guilloché dial, powered by the automatic L.U.C 96.40-L calibre with a 22k gold micro-rotor, twin barrels and around 65 hours of power reserve, finished to Geneva Seal standard.
The salmon dial is hand-guillochéd with a central Chopard cartouche, faceted hour markers and small seconds at 6 o'clock. Turn it over and the display caseback shows off the finishing of the movement and the gold micro-rotor.
Offered as a full set in excellent condition, with box and papers, plus an extra custom brown strap.
